Los chicos del magnífico grupo británico MUSE son únicos. Al parecer un programa de la televisión italiana donde iban a actuar les obligó a hacer un playback, en contra de su voluntad, pues a nadie le gusta hacer un playback pudiendo disfrutar de un buen concierto en directo. Hasta aquí todo normal. Lo curioso empieza cuando salen a escena, ya que en venganza por obligarles a hacer un maldito playback aparecieron: el cantante  y guitarra original a la batería, el bajista original a la guitarra y órgano y el batería al bajo y cantando. Sólo hay que mirarles las caras para ver que se están descojonando.

Me gusta retar a youtube: mis rarezas musicales vs su base de datos de videos.

Este es uno de esos genios poco conocidos, pero adorado por una pequela élite de entendidos. Había oido hablar de él porque mi padre coincidió con él y su banda en unos estudios de grabación en Madrid hace ya muchos años y se quedó fascinado. Yo conocía (en pensaba que era el único en conocerlo) su tema más conocido Also Sprach Zarathustra, versión del tema de R. Strauss que fue banda sonora de 2001: odisea en el espacio.

En la wikipedia dicen de él:

Hace poco he conseguido el DVD de uno de los conciertos que más me gustaron cuando era un adicto a la MTV: el Hell freezes over de los Eagles. Gracias a mi buen amigo Andy he conseguido uno de los DVDs de conciertos más vendidos de la historia. Este concierto se grabó en 1994. Es uno de mejores directos que he visto, pero como una imagen vale más que 1000 palabras…

Uno de los últimos grupos copyleft que he conocido últimamente y de los que mejor sabor de boca me han dejado:

En mi época de joven (sniff sniff) tocaba la guitarra en un grupo de rock. Éramos sólo unos makarrillas que lo pasabamos bien. Creíamos que eramos la leche hasta que tocamos con Cuarto Trastero. Cuando vimos tocar a estos chicos nos quedamos sin palabras. Era cómo ver a tres genios unidos tocando al unísono. Lone Star, Led Zeppelin, Jazz,….Increibles. Volvimos a juntarnos años después para telonear a MClan en sus comienzos y de nuevo seguían siendo increibles. Dejaban boquiabierto a cualquiera.

Hace poco ví un cartel de la obra social de la CAM anunciando un concierto de ellos,no me lo podía creer,  pero ya había pasado. Pero hoy gracias a mi novia he encontrado en youtube un video de este concierto que dieron hace poco. Así pues tengo el enorme placer de presentaros a Cuarto Trastero:

Andaba yo viendo los conciertos de Radio 3 en televisión una aburrida comotodas semana santa y no esperaba mucho de un extraño grupo de jóvenes finlandeses hasta que la música se hizo oir,  puse el concierto en el momento en que sonaba este tema: Child is my name

Luego explicaron que se trataba de un grupo de pop experimental que cogía su nombre de un antiguo equipo de hockey del pueblo de este magnífico grupo. Desde entonces no he dejado de escucharlos. Para algo ha servido la semana santa.
